The Confident Woman DevotionalToday is another tough one: What is confidence?

This is one of the strengths we begin to doubt of ourselves around the preteen years. I look at children today and see their happiness, their confidence, their strength in themselves. And then, it is like a switch was flipped, and the seeds of doubt are thrown into our lives.

As adults we read so many books that are supposed to help us, and it makes me think, how can this happen? Why does this happen? How does a happy, confident child turn into an anxious adult?

A confident person does not dwell on their weaknesses, but it is so easy to do that. People prey on our weaknesses. But, as Joyce says, we must lean on the Lord, like Hezekiah did in 2 Kings. We must take our strengths and help them flourish.

How can you dwell less on weakness? What are some of your strengths that you can spend more time on?
