The Confident Woman DevotionalToday’s reading comes from Isaiah 43:4-5 and it is God telling us how precious we are to him and that he loves us.

But do we ever doubt this? I certainly do. When things don’t go my way, when I am low on money and resources, when I think I have been thrown for a loop, I ask God, “Why? Why me?”

How do you feel about yourself? This is the question Joyce asks in the book. And it goes back to my feelings yesterday, that as children we have a confidence and self-esteem and somehow it drops off and never comes fully back.

Do you love yourself? In order to receive what God wants for each of us, we must love ourselves. Otherwise, we won’t be open to receiving the gifts He wants to give us.

In the book, Joyce says, “You are valuable, you have worth, you are gifted, you are talented, and you have a purpose on this earth.”

Write that down and place it somewhere where you can see it every day. And then say a little prayer that God will open your heart so you can love yourself just like he loves you.
